Hamak shares soar on bitcoin and digital asset deals

Hamak Gold Limited (LSE:HAMA), primarily a gold explorer, announced it had acquired 20 Bitcoin at an average price of £88,569 each, marking the company's first entry into digital asset investment.

The bitcoin purchase was worth some £1.77 million.

Also, the company announced it has entered a strategic partnership with Archax, the FCA-regulated digital asset exchange and custodian, to support Hamak’s broader treasury management strategy, which aims to combine traditional gold assets with digital asset exposure.

"We're excited to partner with Archax, the premier UK-regulated crypto trading and custody firm," said Nick Thurlow, Hamak executive chair.

In London, Hamak stock was up 15% changing hands at 6.89p, valuing the company at just over £30 million.
