Leeuwin Metals accelerates Marda drilling after high-grade gold hits

Leeuwin Metals (ASX: LM1) is making strong progress at its Marda Gold Project in WA, with over 5,000 metres of drilling completed during the June quarter across Phase One and Two programs.

Early assays have confirmed thick, high-grade gold intercepts, particularly along a 3-kilometre corridor at Marda Central — a zone now showing strong continuity of mineralisation below and along strike from historical pits.

This momentum has fast-tracked Leeuwin into Phase Three drilling, now set to expand across both Marda Central and Evanston, where multiple high-grade unmined zones will be tested.

Leeuwin executive chairman Christopher Piggott said: "More than 120 rock chips have been collected across 11 target areas, with assays pending. Further mapping and sampling are underway to refine drill targets at Marda Central and Evanston, with further drilling planned for August.”

With a solid cash position of $2.9 million and drilling success validating its exploration model, Leeuwin is on track to deliver a maiden resource at Marda within its granted mining lease — and scale up quickly from there.
