Sprintex Ltd managing director Jay Upton talked with Proactive about a major milestone — the company's first private-label agreement, which provides entry into China’s vast aquaculture sector.
Sprintex has signed a three-year supply contract with Guangdong Bound Technology, a well-respected firm operating across aquaculture and compressor technologies in China. The contract is focused solely on Sprintex’s G15 series jet blowers, a product that has already undergone over a year of global market testing and beta deployment. According to Upton, “It’s a very simple agreement to sell one product to one customer for one market only in one country — and that single sale has the ability to support the entire company.”
The deal stipulates minimum purchase commitments of 1,400 units in year one, 2,000 in year two, and 2,400 in year three, amounting to a base contract value of approximately $9.5 million. Upton highlighted that production begins immediately, with around 100 units shipping out this week. He also noted that this deal makes Sprintex profitable from the outset, with expectations that the agreement will be extended beyond its initial term.
Sprintex is also progressing with projects in Europe, India, and Malaysia — but the Guangdong deal stands out as a direct, scalable path to revenue.
