Aurum Resources hits high-grade gold at Boundiali, targeting resource growth

Aurum Resources Ltd (ASX:AUE) has reported high-grade gold intercepts from the BMT3 deposit at its Boundiali Gold Project in Côte d'Ivoire, including 4.20 metres at 80.64 g/t gold (Au), with a standout 1.43 metres at 234.35 g/t Au from 107 metres’ depth.

These results are part of an ongoing 100,000-metre drilling program designed to expand Boundiali’s existing 1.59-million-ounce (Moz) resource and support the project’s continued upside, showing the mineralisation remains open along strike and at depth.

The company will incorporate the results into the first of two planned Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) updates for 2025, with the first update scheduled for late July. Aurum is also advancing a Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) for Boundiali, slated for completion by year-end, further underpinning the project’s growing value.

Drill results highlight continued resource expansion

The recent drilling at Boundiali continues to deliver strong results, showcasing the project's expanding resource potential. The latest results are from exploration diamond drilling (23 drillholes) designed to grow resources at the BMT3 deposit, part of Aurum’s Boundiali BM tenement. Notable new intercepts include:

  • 4.20m at 80.64 g/t Au from 107m, including 1.43m at 234.35 g/t Au (MBDD214B);
  • 13m at 2.18 g/t Au from 40m, including 5m at 3.39 g/t Au (MBDD216); and
  • 3m at 4.32 g/t Au from 332m, including 1m at 8.88 g/t Au (MBDD203).

These results add to earlier high-grade findings at Boundiali, underscoring the ongoing potential to grow the project’s resource base. Aurum’s 100,000-metre drilling campaign at Boundiali is targeting new areas of mineralisation, with the aim of expanding both the size and confidence of the resource.

Next steps: PFS, drilling, and resource updates

Aurum is focused on expanding Boundiali’s resource base through an extensive exploration program. The company is well-positioned for significant resource growth, with its 100,000-metre drill program for 2025 focused on expanding resources at the BD, BM, and BST deposits, and drilling also targeting new prospects identified through soil anomalies and geological mapping.

In addition to exploration drilling, Aurum is progressing towards the completion of a Pre-Feasibility Study for Boundiali, expected by the end of 2025. This study will assess the project's technical and economic feasibility, providing further insight into Boundiali’s development potential.

At the Napié Gold Project, a separate 30,000-metre diamond drilling program is under way to expand the project’s existing 0.87Moz resource. The company plans to update the MRE for Napié by the end of 2025, further bolstering its resource inventory.

Aurum well-funded for ongoing exploration success

Aurum’s exploration efforts are supported by a strong financial position, bolstered by a recent A$35.6 million private placement, equipping the company to execute its ambitious drilling programs at both Boundiali and Napié in 2025.

With more than 2.5Moz of gold resources already identified across Boundiali and Napié, Aurum is focused on delivering substantial resource growth in 2025. Multiple MRE updates and ongoing exploration will further define the potential of both projects, as the company eyes continued progress and value generation.
