Surefire Resources completes RC drilling at Yidby Gold Project

Surefire Resources NL (ASX:SRN) finished its reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at its Yidby Gold Project in Western Australia.

The campaign targeted extensions and infill zones at the Yidby, Fender and Marshall prospects, as well as geochemical anomalies at the Money target, located 1.5 kilometres south of Yidby.

A total of 31 RC holes were drilled for 3,972 metres. This was a reduction from the originally planned 42 holes for 5,500 metres, with several holes deferred to a future diamond drilling campaign to support a planned scoping study.

Samples were collected at one-metre intervals, with composite samples taken every four metres for preliminary analysis. In total, 964 composite samples have been dispatched to the laboratory, with assay results expected in August.

The Yidby Gold Project is located within a highly prospective greenstone belt, 30 kilometres north of Capricorn Metals’ 3.9-million-ounce Mt Gibson gold deposit.
