Nexus Minerals managing director Andy Tudor talked with Proactive about the recently completed RC drill program at the Payns Prospect, part of the Wallbrook Gold Project in Western Australia.
Tudor said this was the first RC program at the Payns Prospect, following earlier aircore work that initially identified the mineralised zone. The company drilled 46 RC holes, of which 45 intersected mineralisation—an outcome he described as “very, very happy with.”
He explained that this program aimed to build a depth profile between 100 to 150 metres, targeting mineralisation below oxide levels. “It’s really more around—does the mineralisation that we've discovered to date hold together? Yes, it does. Does it continue to depth? Yes, it does,” Tudor noted.
Upcoming work includes one-metre sample assays and multi-element geochemistry to guide the next drilling phase.
Tudor also mentioned that exploration drilling will soon begin at three more targets. Meanwhile, permitting and development activities continue at the Temple resource area.
