Kairos Minerals managing director Dr Peter Turner talked with Proactive about the latest drilling results from the Mount York Gold Project in Western Australia.
Turner shared that the company has completed the first 16 diamond drill holes — about 20% of a broader 80-hole campaign — and results are showing promising high-grade mineralisation. He noted, “We’ve got zones of the deposit which are actually showing much higher grade than the resource grade.”
The Mount York Project spans a 3-kilometre continuous zone of mineralisation, which the company believes could be significantly expanded. Turner explained that Kairos Minerals is targeting a resource upgrade, and the strategy is backed by a strong cash position. The company has set an internal target of reaching 2 million ounces, with the board fully incentivised toward that milestone.
Further confidence stems from a 2024 agreement with a neighbouring landholder, which could allow Kairos to extend mineralisation by another 1.5 kilometres. Alongside this, Turner outlined ongoing negotiations with traditional owners to progress a mining agreement.
Investors can expect continued news flow as the drill program continues through to September, with updates on assay results, access agreements, and resource development all anticipated.
