Protalix BioTherapeutics welcomes new finance chief

Protalix BioTherapeutics Inc (NYSE-A:PLX) has announced the appointment of Gilad Mamlok as senior vice president and chief financial officer, succeeding Eyal Rubin.

Mamlok has already joined the company and is currently working alongside Rubin, the company said. Following the end of his tenure, Rubin will remain available to the company as needed until October 2025.

Mamlok brings 30 years of experience as a financial executive in healthcare and technology companies.

He most recently served as CFO of TytoCare, a privately held company in the remote healthcare sector. Before that, he was CFO of Sol-Gel Technologies, where he led an initial public offering and managed licensing transactions.

"With his three decades of experience in healthcare and technology companies, Gilad will play a pivotal role in the execution of our growth strategy, and I am delighted to welcome him to the Protalix team," Protalix CEO Dror Bashan said.

Bashan also thanked Rubin for his contributions to the company. “Over the last six years, Eyal and I have worked in a close, collaborative manner in the management of the company,” the CEO said.

“He contributed significantly to Protalix's transformation, strengthening the company's capital and financial status and preparing the company for growth. We wish Eyal success in his future endeavors."

Shares of Protalix gained over 4% in early trading Monday.
