Allergy Therapeutics says it is well-positioned for future growth

Allergy Therapeutics PLC (AIM:AGY, OTC:AGYTF) said it is gearing up for a busy year, as it reported stable revenue for the year to June 30.

Updating on trading, it said it has submitted a marketing authorisation application for its Grass MATA MPL immunotherapy product and is preparing for a potential launch in the 2026 financial year.

And investors were told the phase I/IIa trial for its peanut allergy vaccine candidate, VLP Peanut, has reached its final treatment phase. Initial results from the peanut vaccine study are expected later this year.

On the performance of its commercial portfolio, the biotechnology group, which specialises in allergy vaccines, said it expects to post full-year revenues of £55 million, little changed from £55.2 million in 2024.

Second half revenues are set to be £21 million, compared with £21.6 million in the same period last year, the company reported.

On that basis, the company remains “well-positioned for future growth” after maintaining a stable financial performance.

Chief executive Manuel Llobet said, “The group's performance in 2025, through the execution of a clear commercial strategy in key markets and maintaining a laser focus on our priority research and development programmes, positions Allergy Therapeutics well for future growth.

"With our near-term opportunities to significantly strengthen our commercial portfolio and to deliver clinical data within our pipeline of next-generation allergy immunotherapies, the board remains confident in the group's trading prospects, underpinned by a commitment to improve the lives of people living with allergies.”

The company ended the year with cash of £12.8 million, compared with £12.9 million in 2024.

Allergy Therapeutics drew down £15 million from a shareholder loan facility, with further funding from major shareholders and healthcare fund Hayfin.

The company said it will need additional funding from August, mainly for working capital and continued research and development, but its shareholders have pledged ongoing support.

In Germany, a shift in the regulatory environment is expected to remove unregistered allergy treatments in 2026, favouring fully licensed products.

Recent order trends in Germany have shown increased demand for registered products such as grass, trees and venomil.

The group said growth was led by first-year treatments, which are considered an indicator for future business, as these patients typically continue with maintenance treatments in subsequent years.
