Chris Gibbs steps down as American Rare Earths CEO; leadership transition supports continued momentum at Halleck Creek

American Rare Earths Ltd (ASX:ARR, OTCQB:ARRNF) has announced the resignation of chief executive officer and executive director Chris Gibbs, effective July 31, 2025. Gibbs, who has played a significant role in advancing the Halleck Creek Project since 2021, departs as the company enters its next phase of growth.

Chris Gibbs has served in both executive and non-executive capacities since 2021 and was instrumental in strengthening ARR’s North American presence and progressing the Halleck Creek Project.

To maintain operational continuity, Joe Evers, President of Wyoming Rare (USA) Inc. — ARR’s wholly owned US subsidiary — will continue leading US-based initiatives. Meanwhile, Megan McPherson will oversee corporate operations in Australia, ensuring cross-jurisdictional alignment. An international executive search firm has been appointed to recruit a successor CEO.

“Joe and his US team have made impressive progress in advancing CSM. With strong leadership in place and a clear strategy, we’re confident the company is well-positioned to deliver its objectives with minimal disruption — business will continue as usual,” chairman Richard Hudson said.

Operational continuity

Joe Evers will continue leading activities at Halleck Creek through Wyoming Rare (USA) Inc. His responsibilities include the advancement of the Cowboy State Mine (CSM), test mining, mineral processing optimisation, the Pre-Feasibility Study and a demonstration plant — each critical for transitioning Halleck Creek from a development-stage to a producing asset.

Megan McPherson will ensure smooth operations at the company’s Australian headquarters. The board has engaged an international executive search firm to identify a new CEO with the skillset to steer ARR through its growth and development objectives.
