Veteran mining executives Steve Promnitz and Brett Lynch will join Resolution Minerals Ltd (ASX:RML, OTC:RLMLF) as senior strategic advisers to lead the company’s expansion into the United States critical minerals sector. Promnitz is best known for transforming Lake Resources from a A$1 million explorer into a A$3 billion lithium developer. Lynch, the former managing director of Sayona Mining Ltd, played a central role in its emergence as a multi-billion dollar North American lithium producer.
The move is a major strategic inflection point for the RML, which is preparing to launch a fully permitted drilling campaign at its Horse Heaven Project in Idaho. Both executives have a proven track record of generating more than A$7 billion in value across ASX-listed resource companies and bring deep networks and US operational experience to the table.
“It’s clear that RML is uniquely placed to become one of the leading critical metals companies operating in the USA. With its history and proximity to Perpetua — one of the largest permitted antimony/gold mines in USA — it’s already off to a flying start. Combine this with extremely supportive White House policies for local production and record gold and antimony prices, it makes this the right project at the right time in my view. I look forward to helping steer this journey and creating extraordinary shareholder returns,” Lynch said.
The appointments follow the recent naming of Craig Lindsay as CEO of US operations, as Resolution continues to build a seasoned executive team to target antimony, tungsten, gold and silver opportunities in a jurisdiction prioritising domestic mineral security.
Promnitz and Lynch bring significant technical, commercial, and investor engagement capabilities — including experience with US OTC secondary listings and navigating complex regulatory and institutional environments.
Their advisory remit will span downstream infrastructure development, offtake, and commercial negotiations, capital market positioning, and operational optimisation. They will also support Resolution’s OTC and potential NASDAQ strategy, along with risk and stakeholder management.
Horse Heaven: A US critical minerals asset
Adjacent to Perpetua Resources’ US$3 billion Stibnite Project, Horse Heaven is a past-producing antimony, tungsten and gold asset with strategic relevance to US domestic supply chains. With strong historical production and a comparable geological setting, Resolution believes the project offers near-term development potential to restore local sourcing of critical minerals.
“RML’s Horse Heaven project has the urgently needed strategic minerals in a prime location with significant upside, as an extension to an adjoining major project. It may well be Stibnite 2.0,” Promnitz said. “I’ve been on the lookout for the right critical minerals opportunity for some time that has size, scale, location, upside, and a clear path to development - and Horse Heaven meets this criteria.”
Performance-based incentives for strategic advisers
Subject to shareholder approval, Resolution will issue a combination of shares and milestone-based performance rights to Promnitz and Lynch.
Promnitz will receive 2 million shares and up to 5.13 million performance rights, vesting in stages as the company’s share price reaches volume-weighted averages between A$0.10 and A$0.25. Lynch will be awarded 3 million shares and up to 6.42 million performance rights under similar terms. All rights are valid for five years and contingent on sustained share price milestones.
“The appointments of Steve Promnitz and Brett Lynch mark a significant inflection point for Resolution,” RML managing director Ari Zaetz said. “These are two of the most accomplished executives in the critical minerals space, each with a proven track record of creating billions in shareholder value through disciplined North American expansion. Their combined experience and networks will be invaluable as we scale Resolution into a North America-facing critical minerals growth story.”
