A quiet day is in prospect, leaving the stage clear for tiddler Optibiotix Health to grab the spotlight with its results.
The life sciences business that is developing compounds to tackle obesity, high cholesterol and diabetes, will have to go some to top Thursday’s announcement of three new patents filed (now bringing the total number to nine) concerning the firm's work developing novel sugars.
These have the potential to act as calorie free sweeteners and modulate the human microbiome to prevent, manage, and treat disease, it said.
Chief executive Stephen O’Hara told Proactive Investors on Thursday that most of the firm's valuation is based on its research and development and patent portfolio, as it is non-revenue making; given that, Friday’s results will all be about the future rather than the rear-view mirror.
O’Hara said the firm expects to make its first revenues this year through various deals.
