ECR Minerals (LON:ECR) told investors it expects to receive full assay results from its recent drill programme at the Itogon gold project, in the Philippines, in June.
Drilling operations were completed at Itogon in April, but the availability of the assay results have been delayed due to circumstances outside the company’s control; including one lab worker being hospitalised with dengue fever.
“It has been ECR’s policy to provide the market with relatively specific indications as to the anticipated timing of significant exploration results,” said ECR chief executive Stephen Clayson.
“However, the company is reliant on independent laboratories for assay results, and sometimes unforeseen delays can occur which are beyond our control.
“We hope that the delay in this case will be brief.”
Back on the ground at Itogon trenching and aerial surveying began this month as anticipated, ECR confirmed.
The company said it also expects to see results of bulk sampling at the Maestro Agüero gold prospect, in Argentina, next month as well.
