Trustpilot gets strong review for quarterly update

Trustpilot Group PLC (LSE:TRST) shares surged 14% to 287.6p as it upped its guidance for underlying profits as revenue growth was marginally ahead of expectations in the past quarter.

First half bookings of $140 million are now expected, the FTSE 250-listed review platform said, up 19% compared to the previous year or 17% on a constant currency basis.

UK bookings were up 15% on a CC basis, with Europe & Rest of the World bookings up 19% and North America up 18%.

Cash generation was said to be "strong", with period-end net cash of $67 million, compared to $69 million a year earlier, after executing $23 million in share buybacks and benefiting from FX tailwinds.

For the full year, adjusted EBITDA margin guidance is now 14%.

Analysts at Panmure Liberum said the City consensus forecast for EBITDA margin was around 13.3%.

"Headline H1 performance is fairly strong, but looking at individual markets, there are signs of weakness coming through," they added, with UK bookings growth slowing 10 percentage points despite tailwinds, while US slowed 11 points
