Experian growth ticks up in North America driven by financial services growth

Shares in Experian PLC (LSE:EXPN) topped the early FTSE 100 leaderboard, rising 3.6% to 3,990p, after reporting a stronger start to its new financial year.

Total sales were up 12% in the three months ended 30 June 2025, with organic growth improving to 8%, from the 7% organic expansion seen in its past year.

The financial outlook for the year was unchanged. This was previously stated as looking for total revenue growth of 9-11% expected, with organic growth of 6-8% and 30-50 basis points of EBIT margin expansion.

With North America representing over two-thirds of group revenue, the quarter was notably boosted by 12% organic growth in the North America B2B arm, with the business seeing "modestly improved underlying credit activity".

North American consumer services grew 3% organically, or 11% if excluding data breach services.

Elsewhere, Latin America and the UK & Ireland saw growth of 5% and 1%. UK&I B2B organic revenue was down 2%, with financial services stable and consumer services up 11%.
