AuKing Mining Ltd managing director Paul Williams talked with Proactive about the company’s latest exploration efforts at its 100%-owned Myoff Creek Niobium and Rare Earth Elements (REE) project in British Columbia, Canada.
Williams confirmed that airborne magnetic and radiometric surveys are scheduled to begin within weeks, following weather and helicopter availability. These surveys will cover a seven-kilometre strike length and aim to validate earlier drilling focused on a one-kilometre section of mineralised carbonatite in the northern portion of the claims.
“The key with this program is our mining claims basically cover about a seven kilometre strike length... the historical work has only focused on a one kilometre part of the northern section,” Williams said.
The results could help identify whether the mineralised system extends further south, potentially transforming the scale of the project.
Williams also highlighted that survey results will take three to four weeks to process before being released to the market. In parallel, AuKing’s Cloncurry gold project in north-western Queensland remains an ongoing priority, with updates expected soon following recent site visits with proposed financiers.
