Small Cap Watch: Small Ords edges higher with five-day gain of 0.55%

The S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries Index (XSO) has risen 11.20 points or 0.34% today to 3,275.40, extending its gains to 17.80 points or 0.55% over the past five sessions. The index closed at 3,266.30 yesterday.

The index, which tracks companies ranked 101st to 300th by market capitalisation on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), reflected modest investor confidence in the small-cap sector.
