First commercial sales
Orthocell has achieved first commercial sales of its flagship nerve repair product, Remplir™, in the United States. The company told investors that the sales follow the first surgical use of Remplir™ in Ohio in June and come just three months after gaining regulatory clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration.
Anderson said the short timeline between regulatory approval and the first commercial transactions demonstrated the effectiveness of its preparation strategy. The company spent two years working on infrastructure, distributor arrangements, and clinical collaborations ahead of the US launch.
Anderson described the development as “a really exciting jump shot” and added that it was “just the start of the commercialisation of Remplir™ within the US.”
Global effort
Anderson said the company’s efforts in the Australian market had transferred well to the US. “To have collaborations and see those collaborations turn into sales and usage of our product—this is a deeply satisfying moment."
Orthocell also recently reported AU$9.20 million in full-year revenue, a 35.80% increase year-on-year, and AU$2.73 million for the latest quarter—up 23%. None of this revenue includes US sales.
The company said its near-term focus is firmly on growing its US market presence and generating repeat sales as more cases are completed using Remplir™.
