Power Metallic Mines Inc (TSX-V:PNPN, OTCQB:PNPNF) said on Thursday it has scaled up drilling activities at its Lion-Nisk-Tiger trend in Quebec as part of its summer-to-fall 2025 exploration program, with four rigs now mobilized and assays pending on several mineralized zones.
The company is targeting up to 25,000 meters of drilling across the Lion, Tiger, and Nisk zones in the current campaign, and plans to further expand exploration into newly acquired ground covering the eastern and western extensions of its mineralized trend.
Two fly rigs are currently active at the Lion zone, testing down-plunge extensions and infilling within the known mineralized system. A third rig is drilling at Tiger, targeting undrilled zones identified by borehole electromagnetic (BHEM) surveys, while a fourth is being deployed to the area between Lion and Tiger to test the gap for potential mineralization.
At the Nisk area, a skid-mounted rig is drilling targets at Nisk East, where recent BHEM and airborne EM surveys have identified conductive plates. Early drilling has intersected mineralization exhibiting characteristics of both Nisk and Lion styles, the company said.
Power Metallic said it is also completing a property-wide airborne EM and magnetic survey, as well as a LiDAR survey to assist with topographic mapping and drill planning. Nearly one-third of the EM survey is complete, and the LiDAR results are expected within 10 weeks.
As well, mineralogical studies are ongoing to understand the deportment of mineralization at Lion and implications for metallurgical recovery, the company said.
The company is in the final stages of closing an acquisition that will expand its land position by more than 300%, adding 167 square kilometers of ground. Drill permitting is underway for the new areas, with exploration expected to begin during the current campaign.
