Novo Resources executive chairman Mike Spreadborough and general manager of exploration Kas De Luca talked with Proactive about encouraging high-grade gold results from the company’s first reverse circulation drilling program at the Cloner prospect within the Tibooburra Gold Project in northwestern New South Wales.
Spreadborough explained this was the company’s first drilling at the project since farming in last December, building on early-stage geological work completed in early 2024. “We reported 12 metres at 5.9 and 17 metres at 2.4, so that's a really encouraging start,” he said, noting the project’s strong strike potential.
De Luca highlighted that the mineralisation showed a shallow northern plunge, now tracked over 300 metres and remaining open to the north. He pointed out that multiple mineralised trends exist in the area, including Cloner and New Bendigo. The next focus will be drilling at New Bendigo and Pioneer, with the latter offering additional upside despite limited previous drilling.
Other high-priority projects include John Bull, where drill planning is complete pending improved site access, and gold-antimony prospects Sherlock Crossing and Yilba in the Pilbara, where drilling is set to begin in coming months.
Spreadborough said investors can expect strong news flow in the coming quarter, with drill programs progressing in both NSW and the Pilbara, and ongoing greenfields exploration efforts underway.
