Petro-Victory Energy Corp. (TSX-V:VRY) has announced the successful completion of drilling operations for the AND-5 well, located in the Andorinha Field in Brazil's Potiguar Basin, Rio Grande do Norte.
Drilling began on June 25 and concluded on July 5, reaching a total depth of 1,165 meters through both sedimentary and basement rock layers, the company said on Wednesday.
The operation employed the Drake-2 onshore hydraulic drilling rig, with wireline logging services provided by Halliburton.
Following drilling, a 7-inch nominal production casing was installed to final depth.
According to the company, petrophysical analysis using a 3,500 parts-per-million salinity cut-off identified 13 meters of net pay across four oil-bearing intervals.
The technical team is continuing a detailed analysis of the acquired logs and related data.
Petro-Victory said the next operational phase will involve mobilizing a completion rig to conduct special saturation logging, aimed at further characterizing the productive intervals.
This will be followed by well testing and completion activities, and eventual connection to the Andorinha Collection Station.
Petro-Victory holds a 100% interest in the Andorinha Field. The project is being executed in partnership with Azevedo & Travassos Energia.
