The Gym Group PLC (LSE:GYM) reported revenue of £121 million for the six months ended 30 June, marking a 3% improvement in like-for-like year on year.
Average membership numbers increased 4% to 953,000, while average revenue per member per month increased 4% to £21.16.
The group opened three new gyms in the first half and said it remains on track to open 14 to 16 gyms in 2025.
“We have delivered continuing momentum in the first half of the year, with further good growth in membership and yield,” chief executive Will Orr said.
As of 30 June, the ‘low cost’ gym operator operated some 247 sites across the UK.
The company added that net debt fell to £51.2 million by the half-year end, from £61.3 million at the start of 2025.
