American Rare Earths — ASX:ARR — has announced a major technical milestone at its Halleck Creek Project in Wyoming, with the successful completion of 25 leach tests on ore from the Cowboy State Mine.
The tests, carried out at SGS’s laboratory in Ontario, Canada, are a crucial step in shaping the processing flowsheet for the project's upcoming Pre-Feasibility Study.
Results have helped identify the best leach conditions for the ore, potentially leading to lower energy use and early removal of impurities — which will both improve processing efficiency and lower costs.
This progress moves American Rare Earths closer to producing rare earth magnet oxides from Halleck Creek.
Next up, SGS will begin impurity removal trials, which will advance the metallurgical work needed to finalise the PFS flowsheet.
