Everplay Group says first half trading was strong, unveils new acquisition

Everplay (AIM:EVPL), the indie game developer formerly called Team17, shares traded higher in early deals after announcing a new acquisition and telling investors trading in the first half of 2025 was “strong”.

New game releases are performing positively, it said, adding that full-year results are expected to exceed market forecasts.

It said sales of the 'Date Everything! Game' were robust, and other new titles Sworn and Nice Day for Fishing, had also enjoyed “positive” starts.

Earnings (adjusted EBITDA) is expected to remain weighted to the second half due to the timing of new releases, it noted.

At the same time, today, Everplay announced the acquisition of Hammerwatch IP from Crackshell, gaining exclusive publishing rights for the Settlement Survival and Operation Tango games – valued in aggregate at less than £8 million, the firm said.

Niklas Myrberg, Crackshell co-founder, will join Everplay to personally oversee the Hammerwatch franchise, it added.

Everplay intends to report interim results in early September.

In London, Everplay shares gained 8.4% changing hands at 339.25p.
