Audioboom reports 400% increase in profit

Audioboom Group PLC (AIM:BOOM) reported a 400% increase in underlying profit for the past quarter as revenues rose from the podcasting platform's Showcase tech-based advertising marketplace.

Adjusted EBITDA was $1.2 million for the second quarter of 2025, compared with $0.2 million in the same period last year.

Revenue increased 5% to $17.8 million and gross margin improved to 23% from 18% a year ago. Booked revenue for the whole year exceeded $70 million, up $5 million since April and ahead of last year by the same amount.

The company expanded its creator network with new tier one podcasts, including the new Undisclosed series from Serial reporter Rabia Chaudry, and launched adaptive ads through a partnership with Gumball FM.

Revenue from Showcase increased 16% year-on-year, with the company saying its higher margin profile supported overall gross profit growth.

Cash at 30 June stood at $2.5 million, with an additional $2 million collected in early July and $3.4 million available via overdraft.

"A very positive second quarter reflects the continued improvements we have made across the business," said CEO Stuart Last.

The shares rose 2.1% to 334.49p in early trades on Tuesday.
