Georgina Energy PLC (LSE:GEX) has taken further steps closer to a green light for its planned well-re-entry programme at Mt Winter, in Australia's Northern Territory.
The company, in an update, Georgina Energy told investors it has submitted documentation to the Central Land Council to finalise an Aboriginal Land Rights Act agreement, a prerequisite for granting the selected priority area of EPA 155 by the Northern Territory Minister.
Submitted documents include the details of the Mt Winter work programme, concept well designs for re-entries MW-01 RE1 and MW-03 RE, access road and drilling pad layouts, environmental management plan, airstrip upgrade plans, cultural and heritage considerations, and proposals for additional seismic data acquisition.
“Following the decision to accelerate the Mt Winter re-entry, we have been working hard in partnership with the CLC and the Traditional Owners to provide all the required documentation for an ALRA agreement," Georgina's chief executive, Anthony Hamilton, said.
Also, two additional wells are under review for sequential re-entry, and recent seismic re-mapping has identified an expanded resource target area.
