Royal Gold, Inc. (TSX:RGL) announced it is acquiring the gold streaming company Sandstorm Gold Ltd (TSX:SAND) in an all-stock transaction valued at approximately $3.5 billion.

Under the deal terms, Royal Gold will issue 0.0625 shares of Royal Gold for each Sandstorm share, representing a 21% premium based on Sandstorm’s 20-day volume-weighted average price.

CoreWeave (NASDAQ:CRWV), an AI hyperscaler, announced that it will acquire data center infrastructure provider Core Scientific (NASDAQ:CORZ) in an all-stock deal valued at approximately $9 billion.

Shares of both companies fell on the announcement, with CoreWeave down 2.3% at $161 and Core Scientific down 15.9% at $15.

Apogee Therapeutics (NASDAQ:APGE) released positive Phase 2 APEX trial results for APG777, its anti-IL-13 antibody for moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis.

The trial met its primary endpoint with a 71% reduction in Eczema Area Severity Index (EASI) score at Week 16, versus 33.8% for placebo.

Geo Group (NYSE:GEO) and CoreCivic (NYSE:CXW) shares moved higher on Monday after Congress passed Donald Trump’s tax and spending bill, which increases funding for immigrant detention.

The legislation, known as the “Big, Beautiful Bill,” will triple federal spending on immigrant detection, allocating $45 billion over the next four years.

This development marks a step forward in First Phosphate's efforts to establish a localized LFP battery supply chain within the continent, the company said on Monday.

Capgemini (OTCMKTS:CGEMY), a French technology firm, has annoucned it will acquire WNS Holdings (NYSE:WNS) for $3.3 billion in cash.

Capgemini will pay $76.50 per WNS share, reflecting a 17% premium over WNS’s July 3 closing price and 28% over the 90-day average share price.

Mkango Resources Ltd (AIM:MKA, TSX-V:MKA, OTC:MKNGF) shares moved up on Monday after it announced the first production runs from its commercial-scale Hydrogen Processing of Magnet Scrap (HPMS) vessel at its Tyseley Energy Park recycling plant in Birmingham.

The operation, developed with the University of Birmingham and commercial partner HyProMag, will initially supply high-grade NdFeB alloy powder for third-party processing and aims to deliver 0.5 tonnes per month of recycled product by the end of July, rising to at least 2 tonnes per month by December 2025.
