Shares in 4GLOBAL PLC (AIM:4GBL) soared 81% in morning trading on Friday, baffling investors just days before the company is due to leave the stock market.
The surprise rally comes despite the sports data firm confirming in June that it would de-list from London's AIM market on 7 July, citing rising costs, regulatory burdens and limited access to fresh capital.
The company, which helps organisers plan large-scale sporting events using data analytics, has offered no fresh updates to explain the sudden spike.
The move has sparked speculation over whether traders are misreading the timeline or if there’s a last-minute twist in the works.
The stock rose 9p to 20p.
