ElevenLabs eyes global growth with IPO readiness in five years

ElevenLabs, the London-founded artificial intelligence startup known for its synthetic voice technology, is aiming to be ready for a stock market debut within the next five years, according to its chief executive Mati Staniszewski.

The choice of listing venue is still under consideration and may depend on where the company’s user base is strongest in the coming years. Staniszewski noted that if conditions in the UK improve, a London listing could be on the table.

Speaking to CNBC, Staniszewski also said the company plans to expand globally by establishing new operations in cities including Paris, Singapore, and locations in Brazil and Mexico.

The startup already has a presence in New York, Warsaw, San Francisco, Japan and India, with London remaining its largest base.

Founded in 2022, ElevenLabs competes in the growing field of AI-powered voice technology, offering tools for consumer use, corporate clients such as Cisco, and customised solutions for industries like healthcare.

The company, recently valued at $3.3 billion after securing $180 million in new investment, is backed by top-tier venture capital firms including Andreessen Horowitz and Sequoia Capital.
