Surefire Resources (ASX:SRN) is making more progress in its drilling campaign at the Yidby Gold Project in Western Australia.
The company’s reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the wholly owned project has now completed 15 drill holes for a total of 1,909 metres.
Early results have been positive, with a standout 65-metre intersection of disseminated sulphides observed. These sulphides — predominantly pyrite and chalcopyrite — are present in estimated abundances of up to 5–10%, which suggests the potential for significant gold mineralisation.
The company's managing director Paul Burton said: "Lithologies intersected are encouraging and visible mineralisation is still being encountered. I look forward to providing further updates and laboratory assays results as they are received."
