Bango bang in line

Shares in Bango (LON:BGO) were up marginally in opening trade and ahead of the firm’s annual meeting at which investors will be told the mobile payment specialist is trading in line with expectations.

It is on track to see a doubling of transactions via its platform to £65mln by the end of the year.

At its last update it had a pipeline of 30 activations, half of which are now live.

“Among those activations, Bango has launched four new carrier billing markets in Latin America during the month of May,” the company said.

“These, together with other new activations this year, demonstrate a positive trajectory for growth in end user spend transacted through the Bango platform in 2015 and beyond.”

At 8.30am the shares, up 11% in the last month, were changing hands for 103p (up 0.5p). Bango is now valued at just over £53mln.
