Thruvision shares soar 67% on £1 million contract win and improved cash outlook

Thruvision Group PLC (AIM:THRU, OTC:DIGTF) shares jumped 67% in early trading after the company announced a £1 million order from a new government client in Asia and a sharp rise in quarterly sales.

The contract, covering 20 high-spec systems, builds on a recent deployment at a major cultural event and reflects growing demand for its security technology.

First quarter orders for the security screening specialist rose 145% year-on-year to £2.3 million, supported by repeat business in the US and a first order from a UK prison.

Following the strong start to the year, Thruvision said its cash resources, previously expected to last until September, should now be sufficient through to the end of December, provided current trading momentum continues and sales pipeline opportunities are converted as expected.

The shares, down 77% year to date, rose 0.6p to 1.5p, valuing the business at £2.16 million.
