Protalix Biotherapeutics Inc (NYSE-A:PLX) announced that it has been added to the Russell 3000 and Russell 2000 Indexes, effective after the US market closed on Friday, June 27.
The inclusion follows the annual reconstitution of the Russell indexes by global index provider FTSE Russell. The Russell indexes reconstitution ranks the 4,000 largest US stocks based on total market capitalization as of April 30.
As a result of its inclusion in the Russell 3000, Protalix will also be a component of the Russell 2000, which tracks small-cap companies, and may be included in associated growth and value indexes.
The addition is expected to enhance the company’s exposure among investment managers and institutional investors, many of whom use the Russell indexes as benchmarks for index funds or active investment strategies.

"We welcome the enhanced visibility provided by our inclusion in these indexes as we continue progressing on our strategic path."
