New Era Helium Inc (NASDAQ:NEHC) announced that it has expanded its board of directors with the appointment of three new members.
The new members bring expertise in digital infrastructure, energy markets, and capital formation as the company, active in the Permian Basin, aims to strengthen its leadership as it moves into its next growth phase with a focus on AI infrastructure.
“These appointments are being made to fill vacancies on the board of directors, created by the recent resignations, and reflect New Era Helium’s commitment to building a leadership team equipped to guide the company through its next phase of growth in the Permian Basin,” New Era Helium CEO E Will Gray II said in a statement.
The company said Trent Yang, a veteran investor in sustainability, brings to its board experience from Galway Sustainable Capital, where he co-managed nearly $700 million in institutional capital.
His background spans renewable energy, green buildings, data centers, and sustainable manufacturing. Yang holds degrees from the University of Colorado and MIT, where he specialized in climate, economics, and machine learning.
Peter Lee, the co-founder of EverStream Energy Capital, has overseen investments in both renewable and digital infrastructure globally. He has helped launch several energy platforms and a large-scale data center initiative supporting Bitcoin mining.
His finance career includes roles at Black River, Robertson Stephens, and Chase Manhattan, with a focus on energy, tech, and infrastructure.
Finally, Ondrej Sestak brings deep technical knowledge in oil and gas operations. The co-founder of ZeroSix LLC and current Reservoir Engineer at Aurivos Permian, he has led initiatives in environmental optimization, carbon credits, and Helium sourcing.
Sestak’s prior roles include reservoir engineering work at Shell and project development across blue hydrogen and carbon capture. He holds engineering degrees from the University of Texas at Austin and Stanford University.
