Filtronic PLC (LSE:FTC) said full-year revenue more than doubled to £56.3 million, beating expectations, as booming demand from the space and defence sectors fuelled strong trading momentum through the second half.
The RF communications specialist, whose customers include Airbus, Viasat and Leonardo, also expects adjusted EBITDA of at least £16.6 million for the year to 31 May. That compares with £4.9 million the previous year.
Cash reserves more than doubled to £14.5 million, with net cash standing at £12.3 million.
Filtronic credited its rapid growth to contract wins across European space and aerospace markets, rising defence spending, and its strengthened sales and engineering teams.
The company also launched its Prometheus V-band Amplifier in the US this month, aiming to deliver higher bandwidth for satellite ground stations.
With a strong order book and a growing pipeline across LEO, MEO and GEO satellite markets, the company said it is well-positioned heading into FY2026.
The shares, which have more than doubled year-to-date, were off around 1.6% at 152.42p amid nibbles of profit-taking activity.
