Astral Resources Managing Director Marc Ducler talked with Proactive about the completion of a compelling pre-feasibility study for the company’s 100%-owned Mandilla Gold Project near Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.
Ducler outlined that the study forecasts 12 years of gold production, averaging 95,000 ounces annually. This long-term production outlook significantly de-risks the project, reinforcing its potential as a substantial asset in the company's portfolio.
He further noted that the project is expected to generate approximately $2.80 billion in pretax free cash flow and deliver a net present value (NPV) of $1.40 billion, based on current assumptions. “We’re very confident in these numbers,” Ducler said, highlighting the robustness of the modelling and assumptions underpinning the forecasts.
Additionally, Ducler hinted at upcoming developments that could interest investors. He shared that some results are anticipated as early as next week, suggesting continued momentum for the company and further updates from the Mandilla Gold Project.
