QMines delivers positive results from Mount Chalmers and Develin Creek test work

QMines delivers positive results from Mount Chalmers and Develin Creek test work

QMines has reported positive results from recent bulk flotation test work on ore from its Mount Chalmers and Develin Creek projects in Central Queensland.

The results confirm that a simplified bulk flotation process can deliver high metal recoveries with less processing complexity.

This is a key milestone as QMines pushes ahead with plans to develop a centralised, 2-million-tonne-per-year critical minerals processing hub in the region.

The larger plant will now support a much bigger mine plan, combining both projects.

QMines will also update its Pre-Feasibility Study, with those results expected in the first half of 2026.

The company says it will also look to investigate new processing technologies, including Fluid Bed Roaster and Hydrometallurgical facilities, to further enhance metal recovery from its bulk concentrates.

Executive chairman Andrew Sparke said: "With the integration of the Develin Creek project into the mine plan, upcoming drill results and upgrading the Pre-Feasibility Study on the horizon, we're now laser focused on unlocking value and delivering the next wave of organic growth for shareholders.”
