Dynamic Metals Ltd (ASX:DYM) has completed a first-pass soil sampling program at the high-priority Courvoisier gold prospect, just 4.4 kilometres north of the company’s successful Cognac West prospect, as it continues systematic exploration at its flagship Widgiemooltha Project in Western Australia.
The sampling, which covered an area of about 2 by 1.5 kilometres, focused on Courvoisier’s strategic location along the Republican Thrust fault, a regionally significant structure known to host gold-bearing shear zones and quartz veining. Assays from the first phase are due in late July.
Exploring a promising region
The Republican Thrust fault has been a significant focus for gold exploration in the region. Historical exploration, dating back to the 1990s, included some soil sampling and shallow drilling, but much of the data was limited and incomplete.
The latest soil sampling campaign, which involved 385 samples taken every 50 metres along east-west lines spaced 200 metres apart, aims to provide a more comprehensive geochemical dataset to guide future exploration efforts.

The area’s structural complexity, characterised by multiple shear zones and quartz veining, makes it a compelling target for further drilling. Early signs from the field indicate that the Republican Thrust plays a significant role in the mineralisation process.
Building on past data
Historical drill results at Courvoisier include a peak assay of 5 metres at 0.65 g/t gold from 41 metres depth, highlighting the prospect's potential.
With the first-pass soil sampling now complete, Dynamic Metals is eager to expand on this past work using modern techniques and more reliable geochemical data. The analysis of these samples will be crucial for refining the geological model and defining drilling targets in the coming months.
Next steps for Courvoisier and other projects
In addition to the Courvoisier prospect, Dynamic is also pushing forward with activities at its other key targets. Assays from Phase 2 reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Cognac West prospect are expected in mid-July 2025. These results will provide further insights into the gold mineralisation identified in earlier drilling.
At the Chalice South prospect, Dynamic has commenced permitting for 13 RC drill holes targeting five areas defined by historical results. Drilling at Chalice South is scheduled to begin in the September 2025 quarter.
