Standard Uranium advances Athabasca portfolio, seeks new joint venture partners

Standard Uranium Ltd (TSX-V:STND, OTCQB:STTDF) outlined progress across its 100%-owned projects and said it is actively seeking joint venture partners to advance several drill-ready properties.

The company, which holds more than 233,000 acres in the uranium-rich Athabasca region, said it is pursuing a project generator model to move its early-stage and drill-ready properties toward discovery.

Multiple projects — including Atlantic, Rocas, Ascent, and Canary — are now positioned to begin drilling within 30 days of signing definitive agreements, it added.

“We are continuing to advance uranium exploration projects through targeted geophysical survey work and new staking, which provide more opportunities for new joint venture partners looking to enter the Athabasca Basin,” said CEO Jon Bey.

Standard Uranium recently secured a new option agreement for its Corvo project with Aventis Energy, committing more than C$5.9 million in exploration spending and payments over the next three years. Located near the Rabbit Lake mill and Gemini discovery, Corvo is being prepared for a first drill program in 2026 following geophysical and sampling programs this year.

The company has expanded its landholdings by nearly 45,000 acres in 2024, including additions to the Corvo and Ascent projects and the creation of four new ones. Nine Athabasca projects are currently available for option, Standard Uranium said.

The company also highlighted confirmed uranium mineralization at several projects. Drill results at the Atlantic and Canary projects in early 2024 revealed uranium-fertile systems with high-priority follow-up targets. At Brown Lake, 90% of the project was sold to Mustang Energy in a share-based deal while retaining a 10% free-carried interest.

In the western Athabasca region, the company pointed to its flagship Davidson River project, which now spans over 37,700 hectares. Exploration includes cutting-edge ExoSphere Multiphysics surveys to identify new high-grade targets for drilling in 2025.

Other properties available for option include the Harrison, Umbra, Ox Lake, Sable, and Cable Bay Southwest projects, each underpinned by favorable geophysical and geological indicators, and in some cases, historical uranium showings yet to be drill-tested.
