Vault Ventures plc (AQSE:VULT), a London-listed technology company, has unveiled an 11-year strategic plan centred on steady growth, careful use of capital, and integrating cryptocurrencies, specifically Ethereum and Bitcoin, into its treasury management.
The plan aims to provide shareholders with clear visibility into the company’s long-term objectives while maintaining the flexibility to adjust to changing market conditions.
Near-term priorities include organic growth and expanding the client base, while the company also plans to pursue acquisitions over the medium and longer term to accelerate expansion.
At the heart of Vault’s updated treasury policy is a focus on Ethereum, seen as a digital asset with growth potential through its “staking” system, which allows holders to earn returns by supporting the network.
Bitcoin is included as a complementary asset, valued for its limited supply and wide acceptance, making it a potential hedge against inflation and currency depreciation.
As a first step, Vault purchased £64,000 worth of Ethereum, equivalent to 34.47 coins, and £17,000 of Bitcoin, or 0.22 coins, as a test trade and part of its treasury diversification.
Further purchases are planned following recent fundraises expected to complete on 23 June.
Vault primarily focuses on identifying and growing early-stage technology firms in blockchain and financial technology sectors. Its new digital asset approach is intended to support these core operations and growth initiatives.
The company confirmed that any significant changes to its cryptocurrency holdings will be disclosed in line with regulatory and governance standards.
Chair Brian Stockbridge said: "We believe the 11-year plan lays the foundation for disciplined, long-term growth.
"We are committed to building value through both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions, while taking a modern approach to capital management.
"Ethereum offers Vault an opportunity to diversify our treasury while engaging with the broader shift toward decentralised digital infrastructure.
"A combined ETH/BTC treasury strategy enhances Vault's attractiveness to forward-looking investors and partners and can be used to support the operations and growth of the company."
