WiseTech shares dip as long-serving directors prepare to exit

Shares in WiseTech Global Ltd fell 1% to A$107.48 in early trading after the company announced the impending departures of two board members.

Charles Gibbon, a long-serving director and shareholder, will retire by the end of June. Fellow director Michael Gregg, who has held board positions during two separate terms, is expected to step down before the annual general meeting in November. The company did not provide reasons for their departures.

The exits come as investors continue to call for stronger governance and a more independent board structure. In response, WiseTech will appoint Sandra Hook and Rob Castaneda as new directors in July, part of broader efforts to restore confidence following a board reshuffle in February.

Gregg, who spent nearly 20 years on the board before a brief departure in 2022, returned as lead independent director earlier this year to oversee the Seyfarth investigation into executive chairman Richard White’s conduct.
