Tetratherix Limited (ASX:TTX) is set for a June 30 initial public offering (IPO) on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), aiming to raise $25 million to fund the commercialisation of its “biostealth fluid matrix” technology.
The company, which is set to list under the ticker symbol TTX, has reportedly adjusted its IPO size from an initial target of $35 million to attract a more stable, long-term investor base. Barrenjoey and Morgans are acting as joint lead managers and underwriters on the deal, which will test investor appetite for biotech IPOs following a monthslong drought.
Tetratherix's biostealth fluid matrix is a polymer that can be injected via a ready-to-use syringe. The material sets to a gum-like consistency at body temperature, making it highly adaptable for medical applications such as tissue healing and bone regeneration. Once the material serves its purpose, it breaks down safely into water and carbon dioxide.
The company plans to bring its first products to market in early 2026, focusing on dental and orthopaedic applications, pending expected FDA approval.
The IPO will fund the company’s ongoing research and development efforts and the expansion of its operations, including a new manufacturing facility in Alexandria, Sydney. The expanded facility will allow Tetratherix to scale its production capabilities tenfold, preparing the company for increased demand as it moves into commercialisation.
Tetratherix is aiming to be a key player in the advancing field of biomedical materials. Its broader product pipeline includes innovative solutions aimed at scar prevention during surgery and a prostate surgery spacer to protect surrounding tissue during radiation therapy.
Investors wishing to participate in the IPO must submit applications by 5:00 PM AEST on Tuesday. The settlement date for the offer is June 20, 2025, with shares expected to trade on the ASX starting June 30.
