archTIS Ltd (ASX:AR9, OTCQB:ARHLF) has reached a significant milestone in its strategic push into the United States defence sector, announcing the initial sale of NC Protect software to a US Department of Defense (DoD) contractor. The contract involves 1,000 user licences to support deployment in the Microsoft DoD365 cloud environment and is expected to lay the foundation for broader adoption across the warfighter network, potentially covering 150,000 users.
This would expand NC Protect’s global user base six-fold and is expected to materially drive growth in financial year 2026. The initial sale is valued at A$38,500 and is part of a phased procurement strategy overseen by federal contract holder Copper River Technologies.
“This initial award marks a pivotal milestone in our strategy to penetrate and service the US defence market – the largest in the world,” archTIS managing director and CEO Daniel Lai said.
“It is a key achievement that evidences our capability in this competitive sector, which is characterised by extensive compliance requirements and strict security standards. By establishing a foothold in this market, we are actively positioning ourselves to capitalise on future opportunities in government and defence. We believe this market will contribute significantly to our overall growth objectives.”
Global chief operating officer Kurt Mueffelmann added that the deployment underscores archTIS’ commitment to safeguarding sensitive data in challenging environments and reflects confidence in its technology from one of the world’s most demanding security buyers.
Initial licence agreement with key US DoD contractor
The agreement follows months of validation and testing and confirms NC Protect’s approval for deployment in live environments.
The initial 1,000-user contract, worth A$38,500 over six months, was facilitated through Copper River Technologies, an archTIS federal channel partner. The licence enables the contractor to evaluate and refine secure collaboration processes before broader rollout across the US defence ecosystem.
Scaling up for full DoD deployment
Preparations are underway to expand the deployment to 150,000 users as part of the first phase of a broader rollout.
The expansion will support secure data-sharing across the DoD’s warfighter network and allied forces, and is expected to be a key driver of revenue in FY26. Further procurement phases may extend NC Protect’s coverage across the wider DoD.
The US DoD selected NC Protect after comprehensive technical testing demonstrated the software’s ability to meet stringent security and compliance standards. NC Protect was the only fully integrated solution for Microsoft’s DoD365 environment capable of delivering attribute-based access control (ABAC) and granular data protection.
The evaluation validated NC Protect’s unique capability in securing sensitive communications at scale, making it a preferred solution for large-scale military use.
