Kenvue Inc (NYSE:KVUE), the consumer health company spun off from Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) in 2023, is considering selling a selection of its smaller skin health and beauty brands to streamline this segment and refocus on its core products, according to a Reuters report.
The report, which cited four people with knowledge of the matter, is considering the sale of brands such as Clean & Clear, Maui Moisture, Neostrata, its German baby care brand Bebe, and Japanese brand Dr.Ci:Labo.
Kenvue plans to hold onto bigger names such as Neutrogena and Aveeno, sources told Reuters
There are reportedly about a dozen brands in the skin health and beauty unit.
The approximately half-dozen brands that may be sold generate more than $500 million in revenue, a small portion of Kenvue’s total revenue, which came in at about $15.5 billion in 2024.
The skin health and beauty segment has been a drag on Kenvue's earnings, with a 4.8% decline in organic sales year-over-year in the most recent quarter ended March 30, 2025. Despite this, Kenvue has increased marketing investments, particularly for Neutrogena.
Kenvue is working with investment bankers at Goldman Sachs on the divestment, the sources said. The package can change and no deal is certain, they added.
Kenvue declined to comment on the report.
Shares of Kenvue traded down 0.7% at about $22 on Friday morning.
