Rincon Resources exploration director Mike Griffiths talked with Proactive about the company’s recent option to acquire 100% of the Crackerbox WA Gold Project in Western Australia.
Griffiths highlighted the strategic potential of the site, noting its location within a greenstone belt and the project's history of past work that now serves as a foundation for future exploration. “The work is really accumulating now to a point where I think there will be some breakthroughs in what's been discovered in the past,” he said.
The Crackerbox project also presents copper opportunities, with volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) mineralisation already identified. Griffiths confirmed he would be visiting the site shortly to take samples and assess the structural landscape directly.
In addition to Crackerbox, Rincon Resources is actively progressing three other projects in Western Australia: Telfer South, Laverton, and West Arunta. Each is entering new phases of development, with work set to begin in the coming weeks. Copper and gold remain the company’s primary focus across all sites.
Looking ahead, Griffiths said the company aims to maintain regular news flow across its portfolio. “We're looking to take over information so that shareholders and new investors... see that we're a very proactive company,” he added.
