Nexus Minerals Ltd (ASX:NXM) has received all assay results from its recent 10,171-metre, 237-hole aircore (AC) drill program at the Wallbrook Gold Project in Western Australia's northeastern goldfields. The results mark a major step forward in the company’s regional exploration strategy.
Drilling has confirmed a 1-kilometre southern extension at the Branches Prospect (target MC1.4), effectively doubling the mineralised strike to over 2.1 kilometres. Notable new intercepts include 4 metres at 2.48 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 20 metres and 4 metres at 1.92 g/t gold from surface.
At target MC4.3, a 1-kilometre mineralised corridor has been outlined, with key results such as 4 metres at 1.72 g/t gold from 32 metres and 4 metres at 1.30 g/t gold from 36 metres, confirming multiple zones of gold mineralisation.
Target MC5.4 returned minimal mineralisation and will not be prioritised in future programs.
Nexus is now drilling at the Payns Prospect, with a 4,000-metre reverse circulation (RC) program targeting recent AC discoveries.
Managing Director Andy Tudor says the program has "mapped a potential doubling of the mineralised system," highlighting the project's growth potential.
