Shares in Bango PLC (AIM:BGO, OTCQX:BGOPF) jumped 11% after the UK-based tech group signed a landmark deal with South Korean telecoms operator KT to support its next-generation subscription bundles, including artificial intelligence services.
KT, which has more than 13.5 million mobile users, will use Bango’s Digital Vending Machine platform to bundle and manage a range of third-party subscriptions, from AI tools to language learning apps, under one roof.
The agreement marks Bango’s first major partnership in South Korea and strengthens its position in one of Asia’s most advanced digital markets.
It also gives KT a faster route to market for new services while offering better data insights to personalise customer bundles.
The deal reflects a wider shift in telecoms, where operators are increasingly looking to add value through curated digital services. KT’s inclusion of AI subscriptions signals rising demand for tools that support productivity, creativity and learning across the region.
The shares rose 8.64p to 96.44p.
