Great Southern Copper drilling returns high-grade copper and silver at Cerro Negro project

Great Southern Copper PLC (LSE:GSCU) has reported high-grade copper and silver assay results from its Phase II drill programme at the Cerro Negro project, at the Mostaza Mine in Chile.

"The exciting results at Mostaza continue with drilling below the historical Mostaza mine intersecting further outstanding high-grade Cu-Ag mineralisation that remains open along strike and at depth,” chief executive Sam Garratt said in a statement.

Drill hole CNG25-DD013 returned 5 metres at 3.04% copper and 322.4 grams per tonne silver from 37 metres, within a wider zone of 13.9 metres at 1.74% copper and 153.4 grams per tonne silver from 26.1 metres.

Also, drill hole CNG25-DD012 intersected 3 metres at 3.43% copper and 164.7 grams per tonne silver from 24 metres.

The company said exploration drillholes DD010, DD012, and DD014 confirmed mineralisation up to 500 metres south of the historical Mostaza mine.

These holes intersected broad zones of anomalous silver near surface, indicating potential for high-grade copper-silver mineralisation at depth.

“Our very exciting drill results, together with the recently started geophysical surveys, preliminary petrography, and metallurgical test work, are setting the stage for an exciting Phase III drill programme,” Garrett added.

"We look forward to sharing more exciting results as they become available."
