Oriole Resources unearths more high grade gold results at Mbe

Oriole Resources PLC (AIM:ORR) has reported further significant gold mineralisation from drilling at its Mbe gold project in Cameroon.

Sub-surface mineralisation has now been confirmed over a strike length of at least 200 metres, a width of up to 400 metres, and to a vertical depth of at least 290 metres. The company said the system remains open in all directions and at depth.

Latest results, from hole MBDD012, returned 21.3 metres at 1.61 grammes per tonne gold from 2.4 metres depth. It included 2.5 metres at 10.31 grammes per tonne gold.

This increases the total number of gold-bearing intersections from the Phase 1 drilling programme to 196.

Phase 1 drilling at the MB01-S target is 70% complete. A total of 4,568.9 metres has been drilled across 15 holes, with a sixteenth hole currently in progress. Results from the next hole, MBDD013, are expected in late Q2 or early Q3.

After that, Oriole plans for an independent consultant to produce a JORC Exploration Target estimate in Q3, followed by aa maiden mineral resource estimate in Q4.
