Nvidia's Huang flags exponential growth of European AI

Nvidia Corp (NASDAQ:NVDA, ETR:NVD) CEO Jensen Huang said Europe’s artificial intelligence computing power is set to grow tenfold within two years, with over 20 new “AI factories” in development.

Speaking at a VivaTech event in Paris, Huang said several of these data centres will be among the world’s largest, with capacities exceeding one gigawatt.

He highlighted that Europe’s main barrier to AI growth is infrastructure, not talent. Nvidia is addressing this by partnering with companies like Mistral AI to build local AI cloud capabilities.

A new platform, Mistral Compute, will use 18,000 of Nvidia’s Grace Blackwell chips at a facility in France.

Nvidia also announced plans to build the world’s first industrial AI cloud in Germany, featuring 10,000 GPUs. T

The company is expanding support for local developers and businesses, aiming to bridge the gap with US and Asian rivals. Huang’s message was clear: Europe has the talent, now it’s getting the tools.
